A performance with Stelarc’s avatar and Prosthetic Head that combines a choreography of scripted and sound-actuated motion in an installation of throbbing ears. The realm of the post-human may no longer reside in bodies or machines, but rather in intelligent viral entities in electronic media. Bodies and machines are ponderous. They perform in gravity with weight and friction. Images are ephemeral and perform at the speed of light. Avatars have no organs.
